Snom, a leading manufacturer of innovative communication solutions, has introduced a new conferencing system, the C620. This cordless DECT conference phone revolutionises where and how conference calls can be held.
Based on DECT, this innovative solution finally puts an end to the usual maze of cables around meeting tables by offering users the opportunity to convert virtually any space into a conference room.
The full-duplex conference phone enables users to speak and be heard simultaneously – as if in a face-to-face meeting – while maintaining Snom’s signature HD audio quality, which supports the G.722 wideband codec.
The system includes a SIP-DECT base station with a built-in hands-free phone, a built-in microphone and two wireless microphones, as well as a docking station for charging the conference unit. The portable, wireless microphones are easily charged via the integrated charging bays. And with up to 24 hours talk time (or 12 hours in wideband audio mode) and 70 hours standby, the new conference phone can easily cope with even the most demanding of calls.
For larger meetings, up to two additional Snom C52 DECT expansion speakers can be connected to the C620 for crystal-clear audio transmission. This combination provides enhanced microphone pickup for 21+ active participants. Automatic volume level control and digital mixing, as well as ten-level volume adjustment, ensure a full and realistic sound.
With a range of up to 50 m, the base station also offers impressive signal coverage – even in large buildings, and the three available SIP accounts also make it easy to manage different users. The C620 features an intuitive user interface, including a large backlit display, three soft keys, and a navigation pad for ease of use. A local phone book and call list, each with up to 200 entries, round off the scope of features offered by the conference solution.
