The Information and Records Management Society (IRMS) invites new professionals and industry experts from the public and private sectors to present at the IRMS Conference 2025. More than 400 information professionals are expected to attend the conference, which takes place from 18th to 20th May 2025, at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.
The three-day IRMS Conference is the flagship event for the industry, providing an inclusive forum for professionals to network with peers, share the latest thinking, and learn about the latest technology and its application, regulatory challenges and societal issues.
Delegates, sponsors, exhibitors and speakers are all invited to participate in a packed education programme. The agenda will include keynote presentations, interactive sessions on topics including Artificial Intelligence (AI); Microsoft 365 (M365), SharePoint and G-Suite and Google Workspaces; Sustainability and Environmental Impact; Knowledge Management and Data Governance; Professional Development and Practical Skills.
IRMS Conference Director, Paulina Jedwabska, comments: “The IRMS Conference programme reflects the diversity of our industry. Small start-ups and young professionals can have their voice heard, alongside representatives from some of the world’s largest enterprises, and senior figures within government departments.”
Jedwabska adds: “Last year we had more than 70 speakers join our education programme, many of whom were not only speaking at the IRMS Conference for the first time but also making their presenting debut. If you have a relevant story to share and advice to share, we have a place for you on the agenda for 2025.”
Georgina Daugherty, an Information Governance Specialist at 8foldGovernance, was a relative newcomer to the industry when she first attended the IRMS Conference as a delegate in 2023. This year she addressed delegates on a topic she feels passionately about – making data protection and information governance more accessible to promote inclusivity and diversity accessibility. She commented on her experience: “I have met people who wanted to hear what I have to say, and I think I have changed people’s perception of accessibility and what they can do to help.”
All speakers are chosen on merit and there is no charge for individuals accepted into the programme. Speaking and attending the IRMS Conference is a valuable investment in professional development and networking opportunities.
