Principle Networks Helps Buzz Bingo Transform Connectivity

Major Wi-Fi infrastructure upgrade is supporting Buzz Bingo’s transformation programme and enhancing the customer experience

IT consultancy and managed service provider Principle Networks has completed a major digital transformation project with Buzz Bingo, one of the UK’s leading omnichannel bingo operators.

The project involved the deployment of approximately 1,000 Cisco Meraki wireless access points, providing Buzz Bingo with a more reliable, scalable and centrally managed network infrastructure to support its evolving digital operations and customer experience.

The upgrade forms part of Buzz Bingo’s wider transformation programme, which is focused on modernising its venues and creating more engaging experiences for customers.

With digital technology playing an increasingly important role in the bingo experience, from electronic gaming machines and tablets to in-club digital services, fast and dependable connectivity has become essential to the smooth running of Buzz Bingo’s venues. However, delivering consistent wireless performance across a large and diverse property portfolio presented a significant challenge. Each club has its own physical layout, building characteristics and connectivity requirements, meaning a standardised, one-size-fits-all approach would not deliver the best results.

Principle Networks worked with Buzz Bingo to address these challenges, designing and deploying a modern wireless infrastructure tailored to the needs of individual venues while providing a consistent approach to network management across the wider estate.

David Cutts, Chief Technology Officer at Buzz Bingo, said: “The concept of bingo has evolved. Today, customers have a wide range of choices of how they want to play – and our omnichannel approach is unique – with technology sitting at the heart. Principle Networks demonstrated a deep understanding of our objectives and had the expertise required to deliver them.”

Russell Crowley, Co-CEO of Principle Networks commented; “For businesses operating across multiple locations, reliable connectivity is fundamental to delivering a consistent customer experience. But when every building is different, achieving that consistency requires more than simply installing new technology.

“Our work with Buzz Bingo demonstrates the importance of understanding how each location operates and designing infrastructure around its specific requirements. By modernising the wireless network across its clubs, we’ve helped Buzz Bingo establish a stronger foundation for its ongoing digital transformation and future innovation.”

A newly released video case study provides a behind-the-scenes look at the project and highlights how Principle Networks’ technical expertise and collaborative approach have helped Buzz Bingo deliver a significant infrastructure upgrade across its UK estate.
