Restore Technology strengthens UK-wide IT lifecycle service with strategic investment

New dedicated infrastructure at Birmingham and Runcorn sites strengthens national service footprint to meet growing customer demand

Restore Technology, one of the UK’s largest providers of secure and scalable IT lifecycle services, has invested in a major capacity expansion of Device Lifecycle Management operations across its Birmingham and Runcorn sites, reflecting surging customer demand for asset management from deployment to end-of-life.

The Device Lifecycle Management service was originally centered around the company’s Cardington base, with satellite services in Birmingham and Runcorn. In response to growing demand for the service across the UK, Restore Technology has invested in the creation of full scale Device Lifecycle Management operations in Birmingham and Runcorn, through significant IT infrastructure upgrades and the installation of specialised processing stations.

The service supports organisations in managing their IT devices from deployment through to secure end-of-life disposal. Whether employees are joining, moving or leaving a business, and regardless of whether they are operating on-site or remotely, Restore Technology ensures assets remain secure and compliant throughout their lifecycle.

The expansion provides a greater geographical presence for the service, bolstered by Restore Technology’s 65-strong fleet of vehicles, giving the organisation the capacity to serve customers with distributed estates, multi-site requirements and high-volume asset processing needs.

The expanded footprint and large-scale fleet provide a strong selling point for customers, says Quentin Jackson, Sales Director at Restore Technology.

“Device Lifecycle Management is a prime example of the full lifecycle approach we take at Restore Technology. It means we can support customers from the moment devices are deployed, through every move, change or upgrade, and on to secure end-of-life disposal or value recovery.

“That is becoming increasingly important as organisations manage more distributed IT estates, hybrid workforces and complex compliance requirements. They need to know where their assets are, how they are being managed, and that sensitive data is protected at every stage.

“By investing in the creation of full scale Device Lifecycle Management operations in our Birmingham and Runcorn sites, we can give customers greater national coverage, faster logistical support and the reassurance that their assets are being managed securely, sustainably and at scale.”

The expansion is underpinned by Restore Technology’s secure handling and destruction credentials. The company recently reconfirmed its status as a UK Government certified NCSC CAS-S provider, an assurance held since the standards were first introduced, providing independent evidence that its secure destruction and sanitisation services continue to meet one of the UK’s most rigorous assurance frameworks. Restore Technology’s government certification is further supported by NPSA accreditation.

Restore Technology is also a JOSCAR supplier membership, strengthening its ability to support highly regulated and security-conscious sectors, including where assets need to be removed from site.
