Kyocera and QPR team up in new partnership celebrating football, community and innovation

New, exciting collaboration will see Kyocera become back-of-shirt sponsor of QPR FC Women, bringing together two organisations with a shared ambition to create positive impact on and off the pitch.

Kyocera Document Solutions (UK) Limited has become an official partner of QPR, marking the beginning of a collaboration spanning elite sport, community, inclusion and technology.

The partnership sees Kyocera become back-of-shirt sponsor of QPR FC Women, with stadium and concourse advertising.

For Kyocera, the collaboration is about far more than visibility on matchday. It brings together two organisations with a belief in developing people, supporting their communities and creating opportunities for the future.

A particularly important part of the partnership is Kyocera’s support for QPR FC Women. As the women’s game continues to develop, Kyocera wants to play its part in supporting that progress and providing greater visibility for women in sport. The commitment reflects the company’s wider focus on diversity and inclusion and creating opportunities for all people to fulfil their potential.

The partnership has a strong community dimension too. QPR in the Community Trust uses football to support positive change locally, with programmes built around health, education, social inclusion and participation. This closely complements Kyocera’s own focus on social value and on making a positive contribution beyond its immediate commercial activities.

There is also a natural connection with the changing business landscape around QPR’s W12 home.

White City has become home to a growing innovation ecosystem encompassing start-ups, SMEs, technology businesses and organisations working in areas including AI, deep tech, digital services and security. White City Innovation District describes the area as an ecosystem designed to create opportunities for collaboration, growth and development, with technology organisations based at locations including Scale Space and Imperial College’s White City Campus.

For Kyocera, that creates an opportunity to build relationships beyond the touchline, engaging with ambitious organisations as they grow and helping them address the challenges that come with digital transformation, information management and cyber security.

Steve Doust, Group Sales Director at Kyocera Group UK who spearheaded the partnership, said:

“From the beginning, we wanted this to be more than putting the Kyocera name alongside a football club. QPR has a real connection with its community and an ambition to make a positive difference, and we saw a lot of our own values reflected in that.”

“Supporting QPR FC Women is something we’re particularly proud of. Women’s football has tremendous momentum and we want to play a part in supporting its continued growth, while reinforcing our own commitment to diversity, inclusion and opportunity.”

“There is also an exciting business story developing around W12. It’s becoming an important centre for innovation and entrepreneurship, with ambitious companies that are thinking about how they grow, transform and protect their organisations. Through our partnership with QPR, we have an opportunity to add value to that community.”

Neil Sayer, QPR’s Business Development Manager, added “I’m really pleased to have got this partnership over the line. It’s been fantastic getting to know the team at Kyocera and finding ways we can work together. We’re delighted to have them on board at QPR, and I’m really excited about what we can achieve together.”

The new partnership builds on Kyocera’s longstanding association with football internationally. Kyocera Document Solutions is an official sponsor of Kyoto Sanga F.C. in Japan and describes its sponsorship activity as a way of contributing to the growth and vitality of local communities.

For Kyocera Group UK and QPR, the new relationship represents a starting point for something broader: supporting sporting ambition, championing opportunity and inclusion, contributing to the local community and connecting with the next generation of businesses growing around W12.
